Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance
Sembrando Herencia 2002

Concordia University - Louise T. Peter Center
December 7, 2002, 7:30pm

Join us for a joyful evening of traditional dance, music and song as we pass on a heritage to a new generation! Sembrando Herencia 2002 is our annual performance featuring our Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance performing company and showcasing our youth and adult performing arts students.

Special guests direct from Puerto Rico, the "Coro de la Escuela Libre de Musica", will take the stage along with more than 40 of our own students, dancers, and musicians in this lively celebration of our Spanish, Taino and West African roots.

Come enjoy the premier of our new hot number "Oye Como Va", debuting PRFDance on piano! Celebrate a joyful wedding from the mountains of Puerto Rico, and the debut of our children and teens dancing "Bomba" to live drums!

Join us for Sembrando Herencia, December 7, 7:30pm at Concordia University Schroeder Performance Hall at the Louise T. Peter Center, 3400 IH35. There are no formal tickets for sale, admission is at the door, general seating. $7, children 2 and under (lap child) free.

Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance's lively season of performances is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, City of Austin under the Auspices of the Austin Arts Commission, and the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture.
