Celebrando 2002 with Los Pleneros de la 21

What an experience it was to bring National Heritage Fellow Juan Gutierrez and Los Pleneros de la 21 to Austin for the first time for a Plena music and dance workshop, and joint performance with our performing company "Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance". Funding by the National Endowment, the City of Austin, Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, and others made it all possible.
