Barrile Making Workshop with
Juan Fuentes & Papo DelValle

Barril-Making Workshop - Day One

On the first day, we learned how to make the form of a small barril drum from raw planks of wood. Techniques included planing the sides of the wood planks down at an angle until they matched perfectly. After many hours of that we glued the planks together!

Getting Started...

Making the form that will hold the barrile pieces

After all the pieces are up and numbered...

We start planing...

And planing...

It's not perfect yet...

So we keep planing, planing, planing...

Now it's time to start gluing!!

Welding braces...

...to hold the glued drum while it dries

See other days!
